Belgian Malinois (French) / Mechelaar (Flemish)

The Belgian Malinois is simply the number one working dog in the world.  The old NVBK Belgian lines is the preferred breed of the best K9 trainers in the world.  The Belgians invented dog training and started training clubs over 100 years ago.  this breed is the Ferrari of the K9 world.  They are the strongest, healthiest, smarted, and highest driven working K9's on the planet.  They are by far the most trainable dog's available.  The real name is the Mechelaar.  This breed originates from the Northern Belgian City of Mechelen.  Thus the name Mechelaar.  In French the name of Mechelen is pronounced Malin.  Thus the name Malinois.  In Belgium the north is Flemish speaking.  In the south it is French speaking.  Mechelen is a northern Flemish town.  Thus making the original name Mechelaar.
